Blog #8 : Research and Working EQ

1.  What is your working EQ?
  • What is the best way a kindergarten teacher can teach the students?
2.  What is a possible answer to your working EQ? Please write the answer in thesis format.

Working EQ: What is the best way a kindergarten teacher can teach the students?
•  There are many different ways of teaching and all kids learn differently,
•  The teacher should try out each teaching method and see which one seems to be more effective with all or almost all of the students.

3.  What is the most important source you have used that has helped you come up with an answer to your working EQ?
  • The most important source I have used was an article listed in my working bibliography, that talks about how all children in kindergarten and early education have different methods of learning. It also talks about how teachers should try to make the lessons fun so the children stay focused and learn better.

4.  Who is your mentor, or where are you doing mentorship, and how does what you are doing relate to your working EQ?
  • My mentor is Ms. Michelle Pena-Handley, I am doing my mentorship at Kellogg Polytechnic Elementary School in Pomona, CA. This relates to my working EQ because she is a kindergarten teacher and she knows about the different methods of teaching.
